Annabel looked at me, “Our daughter really has your eyes.” This was an exciting, yet upsetting, time for everyone. My wife, daughter, son, as well as my sister Rachel and her daughter were meeting at the train station together. I noticed a familiar face in the distance. “Rachel,” I called out. My little sis and her daughter Caroline got off of the bus. Rachel ran over to me and hugged me tightly. She was extremely happy to be at my side again. Caroline hugged her cousin Daniel very tightly since she knew she would miss him. Rachel and her daughter Caroline were excited. Daniel and Rowena were going to Mountain Vista School of Advanced Studies and this was going to be everyone's last bit together until the end of the school year. As usual, Rachel was pushing Caroline in her wheelchair. Caroline would be attending next year and she was excited and sad at the same time. Caroline, my niece, and Daniel, my son, hugged each other so tightly that he was surprised they didn't suffocate each other Daniel was quick to point out that the number one woman in his life would be his sister Rowena. Turning to me, my wife said, “I never knew how tough it will be to be saying goodbye to our kids.” Annabel hugged me saying, “I feel the same way.” As the train pulled off, I was hugging my wife and my sister as our children waved as the train pulled off… Read the rest in Rachel 2 today.
