The next morning, little did I realize would be quite interesting. As Jessica was heading to the bus stop to head to work, she called us. "Be wary. I spotted Rusty walking up the street. Do not answer the door for anyone. Stay inside," my sister told me. Tracey was at my side hugging me, "Jess, I can hear you. We’ll stay inside and we won’t answer the door." "I’ll be home by around 7," Jessica replied. "Feel free to hook your laptops onto my wireless. The SSID is ‘JessRenton’ and the WPA key is ‘th1ws0frtn.’ The printer is on a wired print server. Feel free to use it. Remember, this apartment is also yours now. Make yourselves at home. I’ll see you two later. I need to go. My bus is here." What none of us realized was that Rusty had yet another baby on the way. We also did not realize that she watched which apartment Jessica came out from. Tracey looked out the window, "I think she has her dad with her. We need to be extra careful." Shuttering in fear, I clung to my sister tightly. Truth was, I was very scared of her father, and I still am scared of him. Tracey knew how scared I was since she was right there at my side that fateful September football game. Tracey and I went into the bedroom, which had no view of the outside where Rusty was. We set up our laptops according to Jessica’s SSID and WPA key (which Tracey wrote down when we spoke to her). We cuddled together and my sister could see how visibly frightened I was. We heard banging at the door. "We know you’re in there! C’mon out, don’t be afraid." The voice was Rusty’s. Tracey and I kept quiet. We set our laptops down and I sat on her lap. Tracey hugged me tightly. We were going to do exactly what Jessica told us to do, which was to not answer the door. "I’m not going to let go of you," Tracey whispered. "I know you’re not," I replied in a whisper. I was breathing very heavily. I was shaking scared to death. Rusty kept banging on the door and it got to the point of annoyance. We were frightened beyond belief. I am unable to explain just how bad it was. We were afraid that she would break down the door. The only problem with escaping, other than Jessica instructing us to stay put, was that the only way to get a bus was to face Rusty. Tracey then went to a phone and dialed 9-1-1. "There's someone banging at the door, someone we politely asked the other day to stay away from us. I'm at 300 Vuemont Apartment B-2 in Renton. I need police assistance. I am considering this stalking and criminal trespass." It wasn't too long before police arrived. We heard a knock on the door, "Renton Police." Tracey replied, "I'm coming to the door now." When she arrived at the door, she checked the security window, and it was a police officer. She gladly opened the door. She started to explain the situation, going back to the other day in Seattle. Tracey explained how Rusty followed us from Seattle to Auburn to Renton. She continued on how Jessica politely asked her to "catch a different bus." When asked my side of the story, my version checked out with Tracey's version. The officer explained, "We need to talk to Jessica. Is she available?" I answered, "No. She's working and said she'll be home by 7 tonight. She works at WorldSoft's Redmond campus. She uses the bus and wouldn't be able to get here quickly." Tracey gave them Jessica's phone number at WorldSoft, and they got in touch with her. She was on speaker phone and her story checked out with mine and Tracey's version. Since Jessica was the primary person on the lease, she officially pressed charges against Rusty for the incidents both the other day in Auburn, Renton, and Seattle as well as the events of today. Tracey and I got to watch, with big smiles on our faces, as Rusty and her father got carted away in handcuffs in a police car. "I think we can sleep better tonight," I commented to my sister. Tracey hugged me and replied, "Would you like some lunch?" I was getting hungry. It was around 12:30 PM when the police finally left, so yes I was getting hungry. "Yes, I am hungry," I replied. Tracey went into the kitchen and I was sitting on the sofa with plenty of view of what she was doing. My sister started to make PB & J sandwiches. "Two for each of us," Tracey called out. After she made the sandwiches, she pulled out cola and poured two big glasses for us. Tracey brought our food to the table then she assisted me over to the table. We had a good lunch, then we decided to have a deathmatch. She came back with both of our laptops, and we launched the game. Tracey and I enjoyed the match. Honestly, my sister beat me. The match was even, since we both know the game quite well. None of us had an advantage over another. Evening came, it was roughly 5:30 PM. Jessica called, and Tracey put her on speaker phone, "I'm on my way home. I'll make dinner when I arrive in about an hour. I'm going to call again when the 105 drops me off. Then, I'm five minutes from home." I hugged my sister, and we went back to our deathmatch. This time, I got more frags and I won the round. After a few rounds, the score was Tracey 5, me 4, including the round before Jessica called. We agreed that she won the match as a whole. I don't feel embarrassed about this since we are both equally skilled fraggers. Jessica called again as planned to let us know the 105 was dropping her off. It wasn't too long before she got home. The first thing she did was to make sure we were alright after the episode this morning. "I'm starting to feel better," I told Jessica as she hugged me. I was still frightened, but what really calmed me down was seeing Rusty in handcuffs being placed into a police car. "I'm going to make dinner. How does spaghetti sound?" Tracey and I had no problems with spaghetti for dinner and we both agreed. It wasn't too long before dinner was ready. Tracey pointed out the glasses we used for coke at lunch, and Jessica poured coke into them. She also got a glass for herself, and the three of us sat down for dinner. While having dinner, we chatted about the events of the morning. "Redmond police, as opposed to Renton police, came to WorldSoft to talk to me today," Jessica said, "I told them that I want to press charges for both incidents. Charges are filed for when she followed us from Seattle to Auburn to Renton when you two first got to see me, and I've also filed charges for the events of today." We thanked Jessica, then then Tracey and I climbed into bed for the evening. After cleaning up, Jessica followed. We were quite tired, and it wasn't too long before we fell asleep. |
