The next morning, Saturday, Jess got us up and got us dressed, and then we proceeded to head to the rental office. Jess introduced us to the office workers, and explained the situation. The response from the manager was, "I have no problems with them living with you. I understand what's going on. Let me put this in writing so that there will be no question." Jessica thanked the manager and proceeded to call dad. No, DuPont wasn't happy with Tracey and I leaving, but we liked it better with our sister anyways. Heck, bus service in Renton is much better than DuPont, since all three of us rather use buses anyways. Jessica then said, "Want to head to Seattle?" I responded, "What do you want to do?" Jess answered, "how about CivicCenter Seattle? This time I hope will be much better." "Yes, let's go," Tracey responded. So, we headed for the bus stop and boarded the 105 to Renton Transit Center. From there, we got the 106 to Downtown. "We're going to take the monorail if it's running," Jessica told us. We boarded the 105 and it was a quick ride to Renton. It was going to be, we hoped, an uneventful day as we transferred to the 106 to Seattle. We got into downtown getting off at 4th & Pine and headed into the Center. "The monorail is on the 3rd floor," Jessica told us. We arrived at the monorail station and Jessica paid for us. We boarded the monorail and sat down. I stated to hug Jess. The three of us were quite happy in King County living together, even though DuPont objected to it. We arrived at CivicCenter Seattle and Jessica showed us the way. We entered and Jessica purchased tickets for us. She also got a wheelchair rental for me (the museum held my crutches for collateral) since I was struggling to walk as it is. With both of my sisters helping me, I transferred into the wheelchair. Jessica showed us around the museum, and unlike the incident in the Pier Aquarium, we were able to enjoy the museum. There was no Rusty to give us trouble, and we felt comfortable. After enjoying the museum, we returned the wheelchair in exchange for getting my crutches back. Jessica took us to get something to eat in Downtown Seattle. "Take us to a locally owned business, Jess," I asked. "Sure. I know of a place," Jessica responded. Jessica took us to 4th Ave and we had a great hot chocolate break. We had banana bread with our hot chocolate. "Thank, Jess," Tracey said. "You're welcome," Jessica responded. I then hugged Jessica, saying, "thanks. Thank-you for letting Tracey and I live with you." It was around 4 PM, and Jessica said, "Well, we should be going. We'll catch the next 106 home." So, we boarded the 106 and I sat down with my sisters at both of my sides. While on the Metro Busway, the bus died. "Oh great," I groaned. "Look on the bright side. We are near a Bus Base," Jessica commented. The problem was that a passenger required the lift, and the lift flat out died while being deployed. We were stuck, but it wasn't too long for a replacement bus to come along. The fun part would be getting me off since this was a standard height bus. After the other passengers got off of the bus, my sisters attempted to get me off. "This is going to be interesting," I loathed. Little did I know the exercise routine that Jessica went through while she lived out here, and she said, "Climb onto my back." "What," I asked hesitantly. "Just do it," Jessica insisted. "Ok," I responded hesitantly. I found myself getting a piggy-back ride from my own sister. Jessica carried me off of the bus and back to the replacement waiting behind the broken bus. The only problem was that we forgot my crutches. "Forgetting something," Tracey asked (she was carrying the crutches). "Thanks, Tracey," I responded. We sat down on the replacement 106 and it wasn't too long before we were off. We finally arrived back into Renton and I was just happy to be home. Jessica went into the kitchen and started to prepare dinner. "I'm making Mac & Cheese and hot dogs if that's alright," Jess called out. "That's fine," Tracey called out, "don't forget that we have big stomachs!" Jessica laughed in amusement. Tracey assisted me to the dining room table. "What's for dinner," I asked. "Mac & Cheese and hot dogs," Tracey responded. We had a good, filling dinner. After eating, I wanted to cuddle with both girls, so we climbed into bed and not too long later, we were asleep. |
