We knew we were in for an interesting next few days. It was Christmas time after all. Just the other day, we sent Rusty and her father to jail for stalking. For the moment, all I had was my two sisters. True, they loved me to death and I gladly returned their love. Jessica was invited to a WorldSoft Christmas party in Redmond, and she got two guest passes to allow us to come. "I've done this for the four years I've worked at WorldSoft," Jessica told us. "It's a great party, and they respect that I don't drink alcohol. I mainly spend time with my team, but I think you know why this year is special with certain product launches."

"You will enjoy, I promise. My coworkers are looking forward to meeting both of you," Jessica replied. Jessica got both of us ready, since we needed to be on the bus in an hour. "There will be food there, so no dinner," Jessica told us. It wasn't too long before we were on the 105 to Renton Transit Center. We grabbed the 565 to Redmond and it wasn't too long before a Metro bus was dropping us off at WorldSoft. Jess showed us the way though and she bumped into her boss, Andrea. "I'd like you two to meet my boss, the lady who kindly gave me the couple of days off to get you two settled."

Turned out that WorldSoft really does treat its employees quite well. Everyone is on a first name basis, and the atmosphere was very relaxed. "So these are your siblings you haven't seen since 2001," Andrea asked.

"Yep. They live with me now and so far they like King County better." Jessica was quite happy with us. She continued, "Mike is one heck of a programmer using Version 2005. He's also quite familiar with V6. Maybe we have room in the team for him," Jessica chuckled.

Andrea offered to let us join at her table with her husband and 19 year-old daughter, Lucy. Jessica told us, "I'm going to get food for you two." Tracey and Lucy started to chat, sharing an interest in gaming.

"I'm a beta tester for WorldSoft's Game Studio," Lucy boasted.

For once, Jessica, Tracey, and I got to enjoy ourselves. I was starting to calm down over the events of recent. Jessica took us around and introduced us to the Visual Studio team she works with. They got to like us and we got to like them.

After a great time in Redmond, it was time to catch the bus back to Renton. We boarded the last 564 heading southbound and not too long later, we were home.
